Short, direct answers to the questions station owners ask most about shifts, cash and bank reconciliation. Each answer links to the guide or product page that covers it in depth.
Shift Tracker matches every card sale from your TURPAK or Asis automation to the bank's POS transaction with the same amount, the same terminal and a narrow time window. A sale can match only one bank transaction, so the same payment can never be counted twice; confident matches are confirmed and ambiguous ones are left for review.
Example: Say the automation shows a card sale of ₺450. If the bank's file has exactly one ₺450 POS transaction from the same terminal close to the time of sale, the two are matched and the sale becomes bank-confirmed; if there is no such transaction, the sale is surfaced for review.
Conditions and limits: Matching is not instant: it needs the bank's end-of-day settlement file, which usually lands the next morning. A day's reconciliation is held until every active bank's file for that day has arrived, so nothing is matched against an incomplete picture.

A card sale happens instantly, but the money does not reach the account instantly: the bank credits it on a value date, so a shift's card sales usually only appear on the bank side the following day. The value date (valör) is the day a transaction actually credits the account and a hold (blokaj) is the period the amount is kept before it is transferred; commission, installments, refunds and cancellations also separate the POS total from the bank amount. That is why Shift Tracker matches card sales on a schedule, once the bank's end-of-day settlement file has arrived.
Example: Say the POS shows ₺800 in card sales for a shift. The bank usually shows that amount the next day, and because the bank deducts its commission, the net amount credited is less than ₺800; the two figures not matching on the same day is normal.

In Shift Tracker, when cash is marked deposited the app issues a unique reference to write at the bank; the system watches your bank account through a secure API and confirms the deposit automatically once a money-in transaction with that reference and the exact amount appears. Deposits that are short, duplicated or never arrive by end of day are flagged for review the same day.
Example: Say ₺900 is marked deposited with a reference such as C4S1D06062601. If a ₺900 money-in transaction with that reference appears at the bank, the deposit is verified; if ₺700 arrives instead, it is flagged as an amount mismatch.
Conditions and limits: Verification is same-day, not instant: the bank has to post the transaction first, typically within minutes to a few hours, and weekend or holiday deposits verify on the next business day. If the reference is forgotten or mistyped the deposit will not auto-match; it is reported for review and verified by hand. VakıfBank is the first bank integration, and admins can always verify or unverify a deposit by hand.

Shift Tracker reconciles each shift against bank-confirmed payments and ERP (automation) totals; the difference left after reconciliation is attributed to the relevant shift and employee with its reason, reviewer and timestamp. That record makes clear whether the difference is a data entry error, a payment type mistake or a genuine deficit.
Example: Say that after a shift's card sales have matched the bank and payment types have been corrected, an unresolved difference of ₺300 remains. That ₺300 is attributed, with its reason, to that shift and the relevant employee as a deficit, and the record keeps who approved what.

The Z-report is usually taken at the end of the day (for example 23:59) and totals all of that day's transactions in one batch, while a shift report covers a single employee's time on duty, so the two do not cover the same time window and the totals look shifted. Card sales entered as cash, cash taken during handover and later refunds widen the gap further. Shift Tracker resolves it not from the paper report but by matching automation sales against bank records on a per-shift basis.
Example: Say the day shift runs 08:00-16:00 and the Z-report is cut at 23:59. The Z-report's card total also includes sales after 16:00, so it will not match the day shift's card total; that is not a fault but the result of different time windows.

When sales are not compared against bank records, a card-paid sale entered as cash goes unnoticed, because the automation total looks internally consistent. Shift Tracker matches automation sales against bank-confirmed payments and surfaces every amount that does not match, which exposes any mismatch between the reported payment type and what actually reached the bank. When the sale is corrected to card, the original payment type, the new type, the reason, the user and the time stay on record.
Example: Say a customer pays ₺600 by card but the sale is entered in the automation as cash. The records now expect ₺600 in cash, while the bank shows a ₺600 POS transaction with no matching card sale in the automation; that unmatched amount is surfaced in reconciliation. Once the sale is corrected to card, it becomes visible in reconciliation and can be linked to the bank transaction.
Conditions and limits: Payment type correction does not create the bank match on its own: the corrected sale becomes available in the reconciliation workspace and is linked to the bank transaction there.

In Shift Tracker the matching and verification are done automatically before you open the shift: card sales are reconciled against the banks' end-of-day files in the background, and the cash deposit is verified against the bank statement. All that is left is to review the flagged rows, attribute any difference with a reason and lock the shift, which is how a shift that took 1.5 to 2 hours on paper and in Excel closes in under a minute.
Conditions and limits: The under-a-minute close relies on the card side being reconciled before you open the shift: the banks' end-of-day files usually land the next morning, and a day's reconciliation waits until every active bank's file for that day has arrived. It describes most shifts, which close in seconds and a few minutes at most; manual correction is only needed for the rare exception.

Shift Tracker works with the TURPAK and Asis pump automation systems: it pulls sales data from the automation automatically and reconciles it against bank-confirmed payments. It does not replace your automation and nothing changes at the pump; the automation measures the sale, and Shift Tracker proves that sale reached the bank.
Conditions and limits: On the cash deposit side, VakıfBank is the first bank integration, and the design supports adding more banks over time.

Pump and tank automation such as TURPAK or Asis measures, records and reports the sale (litre, inventory, shift and pump-tank data); it does not compare card sales against the bank to confirm they settled, check that cash figures are accurate, or verify that reported payment types are truthful. Shift Tracker does not replace the automation: it uses its data and adds the missing bank reconciliation, so the automation measures the sale and Shift Tracker proves it reached the bank.
Example: Say the automation shows a ₺250 sale paid by card. From the automation's point of view that sale is complete; Shift Tracker checks whether a matching ₺250 POS transaction actually exists at the bank and, if not, surfaces the sale for review.
Conditions and limits: Shift Tracker is not a full accounting suite (e-invoice, ledger) either; it is the bank-confirmed reconciliation layer that works alongside your existing accounting software.
